ABCB10 (ATP-binding cassette, subfamily B (MDR/TAP) member 10)
ATP-binding cassette, sub-family B (MDR/TAP), member 10 is a mitochondrial inner membrane ATP-binding cassette transporter which is highly expressed during erythroid maturation in hematopoietic tissues. Abcb10 interacts with Mfrn1 to promote Mfrn1-dependent mitochondrial iron importation. Array comparative genomic hybridization indicates that Abcb10 shows higher copy number in human than in any other primate. The significance of these copies in human is unknown.
