Bio

Steven Leigh is currently Professor the Department of Anthropology and the Institute for Genomic Biology at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.  His research program concentrates on understanding the evolution of diversity in primate life histories, with special emphasis on the evolution of the human life course.  Additional research interests include investigations of brain ontogeny and evolution, as well as human-microbe interactions and microbial metagenomics. Dr. Leigh currently serves as Head of the Department of Anthropology at Illinois.
