MOCA Topic Authors:

Humans appear unique in having the ability to form alliances between separate communities for the purpose of accomplishing large-scale tasks, or for uniting against a third community. These alliances can themselves form coalitions with additional groups, etc. In contrast, outside the context of individual immigration, apes from different social communities are almost invariably hostile to one another.
