How do I log in and out of my site account?

The User Account Block

In the upper left corner of every page on the site (below the site logo), you'll see an area that shows your user login status. If you are not currently logged into a site account, this area will show you as an "Anonymous" visitor. Anonymous visitors have limited access to the web site.

Logging In

Clicking the "Login" link will take you to the user login page. There you will enter your assigned username and password.

If you do not know or have forgotten your site username or password, you can either follow the Request New Password procedure, or you can email the CARTA Administrators for assistance.

Authenticated User

Once you log into your site account, you will see your name at the top of the user account block, a "My Account" link that brings you to your user profile page, and a "Log Out" link. If you have provided an user profile picture, you will see that as well.

Notice that if you are already logged into your site account, you will NOT see the "Login", "Create New Account", or "Request New Account" links because you're already logged in.

Logging Out

Click the "Log Out" link in the user account block once you are finished using your account for an extended period.
